James is a graduate of the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne and the College of Law. He worked for city firm Ashurst as a litigation assistant before undertaking his training with B P Collins. He qualified as a solicitor in 2002 and left B P Collins in 2006 for city firm Beachcroft LLP. He returned to B P Collins in 2007.
James advises on all aspects of employment law in both the private and public sectors. He specialises in statutory and contractual disputes, collective consultation issues, executive terminations and the employment aspects of business mergers and acquisitions. He regularly represents clients before the Employment Tribunal.
James is a member of the Employment lawyers Association, has an interest in current affairs and is a keen skier.
