Jeremy qualified as a solicitor in 1991 and joined B P Collins in September 1996. He has been a partner since 1999 and was admitted as a Notary Public in 2006 and in this capacity regularly visits local companies, large and small. Jeremy's focus is on tax planning and trusts as part of the estate planning team, a field in which B P Collins is acknowledged as a leader in the Thames Valley region (Chambers UK, A Client's Guide to the UK Legal Profession 2007). He is a member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Jeremy also heads the charity team and is a member of the STEP Charity Special Interest Group and the Charity Law Association. He is a trustee of a number of charities and acts for many local and national charities.

Ian joined the firm in 1973 and is the firm's senior partner and chairman of the Board. Ian specialises in commercial property work, acting for a number of nationally known companies and organisations. Ian is very active locally, being the chairman of the South Bucks Local Policing Board, vice president of the Wycombe and South Bucks Chamber of Commerce and a council member of the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce. He is president of the Beaconsfield Town Conservative Branch, a trustee of the Friends of The Curzon Centre, honorary solicitor of the South Bucks Hospice and chairman of Beaconsfield 41 Club, as well as being a former mayor of Beaconsfield.

Simon graduated in law from The University of Birmingham and trained with B P Collins, qualifying as a solicitor in 1997. He became a Partner in May 2005. Simon has wide experience of corporate transactions including acquisitions, disposals and corporate finance work, and specialises in technology law, advising clients on protecting and exploiting their intellectual property rights and routes to market via information technology. Simon is a member of the Society for Computers and Law. A keen sportsman (and sports fan), outside the office Simon can usually be found wielding his golf clubs, playing football or watching any sports he can find.

David graduated in 1995 from Brunel University, qualified in December 1999 and worked for a north London firm specialising in employment law. David specialises in all areas of employment law with particular emphasis on advising employers on mergers and acquisitions, employee benefits, high-level compromise agreements as well as directors’ service agreements, policies and procedures and immigration matters. David also provides in-house training for clients. He is also a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.

Sue Deacon

Sue graduated with an LLB (Hons), qualified in 2004 and joined B P Collins from Allen & Overy in 2006. Sue deals with commercial property matters, involving shops, factories and warehouses for a spectrum of clients, including charities, individuals and businesses. When not at work she enjoys travelling, drawing and painting, reading and going to the gym.

Diane Gill

Senior Associate

Diane graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2000 with an LLB (Hons), trained at B P Collins and qualified in October 2003. Diane's experience covers a broad range of corporate and commercial matters. She advises on business acquisitions and disposals, cross-border corporate re-organisations and restructuring and general commercial contracts. Diane has a special interest in and is a member of both the environment team and the charities team. Outside work, Diane rows and coxes at Staines Boat Club, enjoys travelling and skiing.

Carrie Allen

Associate

Carrie graduated from the University of the West of England in 1997 with a BA (Hons) in Economics and History and went on to complete her LPC at the College of Law, Guildford. Carrie qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and joined the charity practice group in July 2006, having previously worked for a firm in Lincoln's Inn, London. Carrie now specialises in and advises on all charity law and is a member of the Charity Law Association. She is also a member of the Management Committee for the charity, Music for All. Her previous experience also includes wills, inheritance tax and estate planning, and administration of estates. Carrie's outside interests include dance, squash, golf, music, travelling and charity work.

Vicky Holland

Associate

Vicky qualified in 1999 and was previously at Pinsent Masons in London. She joined B P Collins in 2006. Vicky deals with transactional work and is involved in a wide variety of matters, from M&A transactions to a whole range of commercial and contractual matters, including some charities work. Vicky loves reading and theatre but her outside interests generally revolve around entertaining her two young children.

Jane Kenyon

Associate

Jane qualified as a solicitor in 2005 and joined B P Collins in May 2008 from a large regional law firm. She specialises in inheritance tax planning for high net worth individuals and has experience in dealing with trusts and cross border issues. Jane is a member of the charities team and advises on governance issues. Outside of the office, she likes travel and reading.
