PRESS RELEASE

Leading Buckinghamshire law firm B P Collins has appointed three new partners and this month (May) welcomes two new faces to the practice.

Stepping up as a new partner within the Corporate and Commercial team, Diane Gill has a broad range of experience across all corporate and commercial matters, and specifically advises on business acquisitions and disposals, cross-border corporate re-organisations and restructuring, and general commercial contracts. She is also a member of the firm's environment and charities teams.

New partner in the Employment group is James Townsend. Working across both the private and public sectors, he regularly represents clients before Employment Tribunals and specialises in statutory and contractual disputes, collective consultation issues, executive terminations and the employment aspects of business mergers and acquisitions. He is also a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.

Completing the round of partner appointments is Craig Williams, who has been made partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution team. His specialty is commercial litigation, resolving disputes arising out of commercial contracts, IT, factoring and trade finance agreements, professional negligence, environmental and other regulatory matters. He also deals with private client litigation with a particular emphasis on contentious inheritance disputes. In addition, he is highly experienced in the use of mediation as a means of resolving commercial disputes.

Joining the team at the beginning of May was Paul Davidoff, an experienced STEP qualified private client lawyer who trained at Stevens and Bolton; while Emma Baillie, an experienced family lawyer arrives from Kingsley Napley. Both qualified in 2004.

David Stanning, B P Collins' senior partner, said: "We are absolutely delighted to be welcoming Diane, James and Craig as partners, something which is particularly gratifying as they all began their careers as trainees with us and we feel proud to have seen them achieve so much.

"Their appointments, together with those of Paul and Emma, mean we have a tremendous injection of talent and energy, enabling us to reinforce our reputation as a leading player in providing top quality advice and service to organisations and high net worth individuals in the Thames Valley."
