Act now to appoint a natural director
21 July 2010![]()
Companies incorporated before 9 November 2006 are required to ensure they have at least one "natural person" on their board of directors by 1 October this year. Having only corporate directors will be no longer permissible.
The Companies Act 2006 brought to an end the ability of companies to have all their directors as corporate entities. Failure to appoint a natural person to the board of directors by 1 October 2010 could result in fines of up to £5,000.
B P Collins' head of corporate and commercial, Simon Deans, says: "If this applies to your company, you should ensure the appointment is made and notified to Companies House by the end of September. If you would like help with this process or to discuss generally how we can help to manage risk in your business, please get in touch."
B P Collins' team of experienced corporate and commercial lawyers understand that clients expect pragmatic and commercial solutions and assistance in understanding and mitigating risk. We are committed to building long term relationships that help businesses to grow.
