TRANSACTION REPORT
B P Collins acted on behalf of AnDigestion Limited, a leading innovator and investor in the renewable energy sector in the UK, in the negotiation of arrangements at Waterbeach with Donarbon Limited, part of the Dickerson Group.
The facility at Waterbeach, near Cambridge, is described by AnDigestion as a demonstration scale research and development plant, which allows experimentation with a range of operational settings and novel technologies, treating up to 17,000 tonnes of material per day.
Commenting on the arrangements, AnDigestion Director, Mike Lowe said: "Landfill gas is produced from degrading waste and is mainly a mixture of methane and carbon dioxide. The gas engines we operate burn the methane to generate electricity, turning a potential potent greenhouse gas into a positive of renewable power generation."
Tim Walton, partner at B P Collins comments: "We look forward to working with the Summerleaze Group as it continues to contribute to the UK's energy requirements through its stated commitment to the development of existing and emerging technologies in the renewables industry."
