Moustache madness in Movember

An eight-strong team from Gerrards Cross legal firm B P Collins has cast aside its razors as part of a month-long moustache growing charity event.

They want to raise as much money as possible for prostate cancer by supporting The Movember Foundation, which encourages men around the world to grow a moustache and turn November into Movember.

Leading the campaign at B P Collins is David Buckle, partner in the Employment law practice group, whose own family has had personal experience of the disease.

He said: "Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK and when you know someone who is personally affected, it brings it home to you even more. We thought this would be a fun way to raise some money to donate to a very good cause and, by creating a talking point, help increase awareness at the same time."

Joining David are Steve Perry, Alex Jones, Daniel Johnson, Andrew Clissold, Michael Larcombe, Simon Deans and David Smellie and on their web page, each has listed their own personal inspiration for taking part.

To date Movember, which partners with The Prostate Cancer Charity, has raised over £30 million globally for the fight against prostate cancer and depression in men and, most importantly, created rising awareness of men's health issues.
