B P Collins expands as John Codling joins the team

B P Collins LLP has expanded its practice with the arrival of highly-respected commercial lawyer John Codling, who has joined the team as a consultant.

Having worked as a sole practitioner for the past 25 years, John has a broad range of business law expertise, including corporate acquisitions and disposals, commercial contracts, commercial property, litigation, employment and intellectual property advice.

The move, which took effect on 1 October, sees John merge his clients into the B P Collins family and he will split his time between his office in Speen and B P Collins’ offices in Gerrards Cross.

B P Collins’ Corporate and commercial partner Simon Deans said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome John and his clients to our team. We have been fortunate enough to work either alongside or across the table from John on a number of occasions, so we are very well aware of his reputation for excellence and know he is seen by many as a trusted adviser.

“He is extremely well-respected across the region, and we look forward to working with him and his clients, and also giving them the chance to share the wider benefits and expertise that we can offer within our practice.”

John commented: "I am very pleased to be joining B P Collins, a firm I have known and admired for nearly 40 years. When I became senior partner at Blaser Mills in 1975, I met Brian Collins and we both enjoyed a healthy respect for each other and our respective firms. I have also known Mike Arundel and David Stanning on an ongoing basis for over 30 years. I am very much looking forward to the challenge of working with Simon and his team.”
