Appointed a senior associate at B P Collins LLP in May 2013, Suzanne is a highly experienced commercial litigator. In addition to resolving disputes by means of the Court, Suzanne also explores resolving disputes by way of alternative dispute resolution including mediation.
Suzanne took a pivotal role in the Court of Appeal hearing, working alongside practice group leader Matthew Brandis, on the reported case of Moloobhoy and Moloobhoy v Kanani which clarified the position with a number of jurisdictional points and had considerable practical implications for overseas litigants with assets in the UK.
Suzanne has expertise in dealing with technology and intellectual property disputes including software disputes, passing-off claims and cases of infringement of registered trademarks. She is also an active member of the media group advising clients on how to protect and develop their reputation. In particular, she has been involved in several reported defamation decisions including Westcott v Westcott. Suzanne is also part of the firm's retail and leisure group, advising clients within the fashion and entertainment industry on mitigating risk in a competitive sector.
Outside of work, Suzanne is passionate about travelling and exploring foreign countries.
Suzanne joined B P Collins LLP as a trainee solicitor in 2004 and qualified into the litigation and dispute resolution team two years later. Suzanne was promoted to senior associate in May 2013.
Suzanne graduated from the University of Warwick in 2001 with a BA (Hons) in Law and Sociology. Suzanne subsequently completed her Legal Practice Course at the Inns of Court in London.
