Procurement
Advising our client, a national waste management and recycling group of companies, on its invitation to tender relating to the procurement of a group-wide business management software solution. Our team was also responsible for drafting and negotiating the pilot contract awarded to the successful tender.
Misuse of confidential information and breach of database right
Our team successfully obtained an injunction in the High Court to restrain misuse of confidential information on behalf of our client, a successful entertainment company, against a former employee and subsequent competitor.
Hardware distribution
Our team developed a concise legal template and specific distribution agreements for our client, a communications test equipment manufacturer and distributor, for the distribution of our client's product range by third party distributors. Separately, these covered our client's distribution of third party products under its own branding as part of its product portfolio.
IPR Licensing
We advised our client, a global pharmaceutical business, in relation to its international distribution channels and agreements. We also advised on our client's licensing of its technical know-how and trade marks to a third party for product manufacture and distribution in various overseas locations.
Software licensing and copyright
Our team advised a League 2 London football club on its ticketing software licence and IP issues arising from the proposed publication of an unofficial book relating to the history of the club. We continue to provide general IP and IT advice relating to the club's business.
Open-source
The team advised a start-up company on its open-source website for developing carbon off-setting technology in the petro-chemical industry, as well as providing legal advice on a consultancy contract with part of a global group of energy and petrochemicals companies.
Retention of title
We advised our client, the foremost provider of high-end digital movie editing technology in the world, on its 100% successful retention of a title claim arising out of the administration of the Sound Control store chain.
