Work experience

We welcome applications for our work experience placements from law under-graduates and graduates and non-law graduates who have completed their Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL).  Our scheme offers a genuine opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a regional law firm.

The scheme identifies potential recruits and also offers the opportunity to future trainees to find out if we are the right firm for you.

We offer one or two week placements from May to October each year in our family, property, employment, dispute resolution, corporate and commercial and private client practice groups.

Please apply via our application form by sending your CV, together with a short covering letter, including the dates you are available and any preference regarding areas of law in which you are interested.

It is important that you provide full details of your academic qualifications so that we can consider your application fully.  Ideally, you will have or be working towards a 2:1 degree and have A/B grades at ‘A’ Level.

Law insight day

Our Law Insight day is open for A-level or equivalent students, non-law undergraduates / graduates and law students. The day is designed to help give you an insight into the various areas of law and consists of five minute presentations by trainees on the practice groups they are training in and a mock trial exercise conducted by one of our lawyers.

We delivered our second remote Law Insight Day in February and were very pleased with the positive feedback received from the attendees. We will look to organise another date later in the year, if you are interested please get in contact.

To apply, send your cover letter detailing why you are interested in law and a CV via our application form.
