Britain and the EU are likely to miss the mid-November deadline to finalise a Brexit trade deal.

However, negotiations are due to continue in London for the rest of the week, but with the transition period coming to an end on the 31 December 2020, it is still unclear how the trade rules will change.

The sticking points in negotiations include fishing quotas; ensuring fair competition for companies, and how trade disputes will be settled in the future.

Both sides are still working towards reaching an agreement and it is anticipated that negotiators will create an agreed text by the middle of next week, unless talks breakdown or there is an agreement earlier.
