Litigation team keeps watchful eye over goods dispute
A specialist offshore company dealing in national and international covert surveillance and investigations recently instructed the B P Collins' litigation and dispute resolution practice, to resolve a dispute over the suitability of newly purchased surveillance equipment, intended for use in the launch of a new line of service offering.
Despite the sales material supplied and representations made at the time of purchase and training as to the equipment's usability and resistance to external weather conditions, our client encountered problems soon after the equipment was deployed outside.
As a result, through no fault of its own, our client was unable to successfully use the equipment it had purchased and was forced to abandon its new offering.
Despite a defensive stance by the seller, following successful negotiation B P Collins LLP was able to engineer a commercial settlement in compensation for sums paid.
As a result, both parties were able to adopt a commercial approach, thereby saving time and cost as well as a lengthy litigation process.
