B P Collins staff get Tough for charity
On Saturday 2 May, ten members of staff from Buckinghamshire law firm B P Collins LLP prevailed as they took on this year’s Tough Mudder challenge in aid of national mental health charity, Mind.
The route comprised of 21 hard-hitting obstacles spread across 12 miles. A real sense of camaraderie built up within the B P Collins Tough Mudder team as they made their way through the course, with many of the obstacles requiring the group to work together and help each other.
The ten-strong team was triumphant, with every member crossing the finish line within three and a half hours, and all concurring it was an enjoyable event and great achievement.
Tom Bird, trainee and member of the Tough Mudder team, commented: “The obstacles such as ‘pyramid scheme’ – where we had to organise ourselves into a human pyramid in order to lift people to the top of a sloped wall – made the event really enjoyable.
“It was great to see everyone get through the final ‘electroshock therapy’ obstacle – in one piece – to cross the finish line!”
Trainee Rebecca Mitchell added: “A particular highlight was seeing the team’s ‘Superman’ jumps as they attempted the ‘Everest’ obstacle.”
So far, the team have raised a very impressive £3,770 for Mind, and are within reaching distance of their target.
