B P Collins steps closer to top 100 status
B P Collins LLP has made further progress up the ranks in this year’s Best Companies Index (BCI), increasing its score from 628.3 to 646.1.
The rise ensures the leading Buckinghamshire law firm has maintained its “One to Watch” status in the Best Companies Accreditation 2014 and also moves closer to its goal of being a 1* Company.
Chris Hardy, senior partner, said: “We’re very pleased with these latest results, which show that employee engagement is continuing to increase in terms of the way our people feel about the firm, the opportunities for personal growth and our support for the local community, all factors which are extremely important to us.
“We were especially thrilled that our residential property and private client teams achieved ratings equivalent to a 1* company, so an extra special well done must go to them. This is a very prestigious ranking and thanks must go to all our teams for the effort, hard work and high levels of dedication they put in to achieving the very best for our clients.
“If we can repeat the same level of improvement between now and 2015, this will place us firmly in the Best 100 Companies to Work For, which is our ultimate goal.”
Best Companies accreditation follows the elite ‘Michelin style’ star rating system for organisations that demonstrate high levels of employee engagement. Based on staff feedback, organisations are then ranked and given a Best Companies Index score.
Staff throughout the firm were independently surveyed on eight different workplace factors, including employee engagement, wellbeing and giving something back to the community.
The introduction of employee awards was highlighted as being particularly successful and appreciated by staff, who also enjoy benefits including subsidised gym membership, childcare vouchers, a pension scheme, life assurance, private health care, a profit share arrangement, a discretionary bonus scheme and time off to undertake charitable activities during working hours.
