Driving other cars with fully comprehensive car insurance

Our dispute resolution team have seen an increase in cases of no insurance, due to assumptions being made that a fully comprehensive policy covers the driving of another vehicle not belonging to them.

In the past, many insurance policies would cover driving other vehicles but now most policies no longer extend this cover. It is really important to check with your insurance company.

Driving without insurance may lead to points on your driving record, a disqualification and fines.

We would urge everyone to check before getting behind the wheel of third party car.

In the event that you face proceedings for a road traffic offence, please call our team on 01753 278665 or email
