Dying matters awareness week

It is Dying Matters awareness week and this year the focus is on being ‘in a good place’ when you die. The COVID-19 pandemic has put death and loss at the forefront of the nation's consciousness.

Conversations about getting older, end of life care, dying and bereavement might not be easy, but putting plans in place and getting your affairs in order, can protect you and your loved ones after you have gone.

To further advise and raise awareness we revisit our let’s talk about death series with the aim of encouraging people to be more open about death and to better prepare. It is one of life’s last taboos but it does not have to be this way.

We spoke to a range of people, including a funeral director, grief counsellor, end of life doula and our own wills, trusts and probate specialists, to provide you with insight and help open up the conversation around end of life.
