Promotional double at B P Collins

In a promotional double at B P Collins LLP, effective from 1 May, Alison Taylor has been appointed as a new partner, while Simon Carroll rises through the ranks to become a senior associate.

Commercial property specialist Alison, who joined the practice from a large city firm in March 2012, has a broad range of experience in the sector, including portfolio transactions and freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals.

She also works closely with the corporate and commercial team, and has built up a strong track record in dealing with the sale and management of shopping centres and complex commercial lease transactions.

Simon joined B P Collins in January 2012, bringing with him valuable litigation and regulatory experience as an in-house counsel for a FTSE-listed multi-national FMCG company.

Now part of the litigation and dispute resolution team, his principal practice areas are in domestic and international commercial litigation and arbitration, and he also deals with a variety of trust disputes, advising on legal, tactical and jurisdictional aspects.

Congratulating them, senior partner, Chris Hardy, said: “Both Alison and Simon have demonstrated high levels of expertise and commitment to our clients. Their promotion is richly deserved and further strengthens our areas of expertise.

“Alison’s clients applaud her for being ‘extremely thorough’ and her attention to detail is second to none; while Simon has become a sought after advocate who always seeks to find the best possible solution for his clients.”
