Lydia is a solicitor at B P Collins’ family team and undertakes a broad range of family matters.

Experience

Lydia joined the BP Collins’ family team in August 2021, after a period of living and practising in Hong Kong.

Lydia has experience across a broad spectrum of family law matters including divorce, financial settlements, and arrangements for children.

Lydia qualified in England and Wales in 2011, and subsequently in Hong Kong in 2019. Having lived and practised abroad, Lydia understands the added issues international families can face when relationships break down.

Prior to working in family law, Lydia worked in private client and spent several years working in London helping individuals from simple matters to those involving complex and international bases.

Whilst experienced in litigation, Lydia is committed to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and helping client’s resolve their disputes in the most cost-efficient way possible. She is a member of Resolution and trained with the Hong Kong Family Mediation Accredited Association.  Lydia is also a member of Women in Family Law.

Education

Lydia studied a BA in Politics and Italian at Exeter University before undertaking the legal conversion course at the University of Law in Guildford.

Outside the office

Lydia is a qualified yoga instructor and enjoys teaching and developing her yoga practice. Lydia enjoys travelling and visiting her family in Italy. She is also a keen runner and gym enthusiast.
