Jacob has particular experience of motoring disputes, having acted for both consumers and garages; and of cancelled wedding disputes as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, where he has successfully negotiated a number of settlements. Jake also handles contentious probate disputes.
Jacob is a pragmatic and straight-talking advocate, who is committed to providing advice which is tailored to each client’s objectives.
Jacob’s experience covers a range of commercial dispute resolution matters, including pre-action, County Court and High Court litigation involving consumer protection issues, consumer and commercial, debt recovery and contract disputes, including litigation arising out of hire purchase agreements.
Jacob has advised regional and city-based clients across a range of industries including logistics, waste management, media, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, financial brokers and care homes.
Jacob has been sought for media comment in relation to his work on cancelled wedding disputes and regularly contributes to the firm’s legal updates for both commercial and contentious probate matters.
Jacob is also an active member of the local community, teaching Jiu-Jitsu at Oxford University as a volunteer.
Outside the office
An avid martial artist in his spare time, Jacob participates in national competitions and has recently taken up yoga and running. Jacob also enjoys both cinema and skiing when he is not being thrown across the dojo. A particular highlight was when Jacob won a silver medal at a national Jiu-Jitsu competition.
