Jonothan Moss, principal lawyer in our Dispute Resolution team has successfully defended a client from a potential six month driving ban at a local Magistrates Court.

The Court was persuaded that the imposition of a disqualification from driving would be disproportionate given the huge impact the disqualification would have upon our client’s son.

The client’s son suffers from epilepsy, and a number of other medical complications, and the court was persuaded that the impact upon him would be so severe that no disqualification needed to be imposed in this particular case.

Jonothan commented, “I’m delighted, in this case, that the Court was able to view the circumstances holistically and assess the impact on a vulnerable individual when reaching its decision.”
