For many people, facing criminal charges or investigation is a life changing event. Its stress and upheaval cannot be underestimated. Our aim is to always properly advance your case and protect your interests. Any injustice, however small, is a blight on the whole of society.

Here at B P Collins, we provide expert advice and representation for individuals and companies being investigated or prosecuted for criminal offences.

We have many years of experience, which allows us to offer the very best advice to you from the start to finish of the case.

We represent clients across a range of allegations. We understand that facing a criminal case can be extremely stressful and as a firm we never lose sight of this impact. We will do all in our power to reduce the stress levels to you.

Our team are ranked in both Chambers and The Legal 500 UK, the two leading independent legal directories.

Right to Review

Our criminal law team helps victims of crime win a Right to Review, which involves supporting victims and helping them achieve justice where, for example, the police or The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) have decided not to prosecute an offender in your case.

Pre-convictions and cautions

If you have a previous conviction or caution, this can potentially have a major impact on your future. The impact can often be in relation to employment. Our team helps individuals mitigate the impact of historic convictions or cautions. This may involve challenging the conviction or caution with a view to minimising its impact, so you can move forward and achieve your goals.

Restraining Orders

Sometimes things go badly wrong in life and a restraining order is put in place to protect you. Our work assists victims who were initially given the protection of a restraining order by a criminal court to seek to have the order varied, or removed, if required.

Inquests

The loss of a family member or friend can be very distressing. The process can be made even more difficult, if the loss is unexpected and without an obvious explanation. When this happens, the case may be referred to a Coroner. We can help you gain a better understanding of the inquest process, make contact with the Coroner’s office and ensure your voice is heard. We will analyse the evidence and if necessary, obtain second opinions on the evidence. We will also represent you at the inquest hearing asking questions to assist the Coroner.

Driving offences

We offer experienced expert legal advice and representation in the event you or your company has been charged with a motoring offence.

Criminal Litigation Accreditation
