We also take care to align our social responsibility with our business practices. We make every effort in ensuring that all aspects of our workplace are inclusive, from career opportunities to workforce best practice. We are also passionate about helping the community we work in by supporting local schools and sports clubs. We are delighted to have been awarded ‘gold’ in the Corporate Social Responsibility Accreditation scheme.
This accreditation recognises efforts by the firm in four pillars: Environmental, Community, Workplace and Philanthropic.
B P Collins places considerable importance on supporting and strengthening local communities. We also recognise the impact we have on these areas, as well as the responsibility we have to operate in a manner which protects the environment.
Our CSR programme aims to address the following areas:
- Charitable giving and fundraising
- Sponsorship programme
- Environment and climate
- People and diversity
Environment and climate
B P Collins is committed towards protecting the environment for future generations. We have established an Environmental Committee to inform, monitor, recommend and implement changes in behaviour and working practices in order to minimise our impact on the environment.
We have identified our most significant environmental impact as the use of resources and production of waste in our offices. We are committed to managing and minimising our impacts and are currently liaising with the Carbon Neutral Society to explore further ways of reducing our emissions at the source.
We are delighted to be sponsors of the Thame Hedgehog Highways Project that is organised by 21st Centrury Thame. Thame is a haven for hedgehogs but they need more space to roam, more water in the summer heat and more protective areas to sleep, hibernate and rear their young. You can get involved in helping our hedgehogs by opening up your garden and providing what they need to survive. Find out more about what you can do.
