I decided that I wanted to set up an HR Consultancy some years ago. I recognised that, while I could advise my clients on what to do and how to do it, I couldn’t help them “on the ground”, so to speak. I am a lawyer and sometimes what my clients needed was an HR manager which, although aligned with employment law, is not the same thing at all.
B P Collins prides itself on building strong, long-lasting relationships with its clients, so that we get to know their business and their culture. In that way, we can ensure our advice is right for each client. I wanted to give our clients the all-round help they needed when dealing with their employees and I identified a gap in our service, which I wanted to plug.
So I set up HR2Help, to show that we were “here to help”, whatever the nature of our client’s employment needs.
HR2Help works alongside B P Collins providing HR advice. Our HR Consultants are not lawyers but experienced HR professionals, with many years working in many different environments. They help our clients on the ground, from recruitment, change management and staff development to consultation meetings in connection with disciplinary and grievance hearings and restructuring. They provide the practical help that complements our legal advice, ensuring staff are treated fairly while clients achieve their goals.
Like all our services, HR2Help is flexible. Some use it to help when their own HR team are swamped and just need an extra pair of hands for a while. Others use it for a particular project, such as a collective consultation exercise or to assist with change management. Some don’t want to invest in their own HR Manager just yet but need cost-effective specialist HR advice a few days a month to ensure they stay on track. Others need someone impartial to investigate an allegation or to hear an appeal and have exhausted their internal resources.
