It is with the greatest sorrow and regret that we share news of the sad passing of our much loved friend and colleague, Lucy Wood, on 1 March 2026.

She bravely battled cancer over the past few years and our sympathies very much lie with her loving husband Scott, her parents, family and friends at this incredibly sad time.

Lucy worked with us for over 10 years and led our wills, trusts and probate team. She was a member of the firm’s board and most of all, a friend and fabulous colleague. She was the ultimate professional.

A naturally warm and friendly person, she was loved by her clients as much as she loved them. Her empathy helped clients and colleagues feel relaxed and open, allowing her to guide and support them in their actions and goals.

Lucy loved to socialise, she enjoyed time out of the office with colleagues, laughing, sharing stories, planning trips and always wanting those around her to have a good time. She constantly put others first and her caring nature meant she would make time in her always busy schedule to help others thrive. She showed her caring side by becoming a trustee of Heart of Bucks, the community foundation dedicated to supporting local charities in Buckinghamshire. As a resident of Thame in Oxfordshire, she was proud of her town and local community. She was pleased to lead the way when the firm opened an office in her home town in 2021.

Over her 10 years working at B P Collins, Lucy inspired those she worked with, many became firm friends and everyone in the firm had immense respect and admiration for her. We miss her dearly but are comforted by the fact that we got to know, and share time with, such a wonderful person.
