James specialises in criminal law, particularly motoring offences and environmental agency matters.
He is also a solicitor advocate and has represented clients in the Magistrates Court, Crown Court and Court of Appeal.
Experience
For the past 10 years, James has represented many clients from their initial interview under caution to the conclusion of their Court hearing.
James also advises and offers representation in professional discipline matters, HMRC investigations, FCA investigations, mental health, inquest hearings; coroner court inquests, military matters including court martial proceedings; shotgun licence applications and appeals and taxi licence revocation appeals.
Key achievements
James is regularly approached for comment on criminal law by the national media. Most recently, his views on breaching the Public Order Act featured in the Metro UK.
James has also represented many clients in high value matters including complex money laundering cases worth over £10 million.
Outside the office
James likes to keep fit by going to the gym regularly and does voluntary work for anti-human trafficking charities. James is also a qualified rugby referee.
