B P Collins is now working with Heart of Bucks using a nomination scheme which aims to support local charities and community projects that fit in with the CSR values of the firm, whilst delivering social impact to local communities.

The awards, which range from £500 to £2,000, are centred on three main themes for this year:

  • Building stronger communities – invest in spaces that encourage community spirit and reduce isolation
  • Providing better futures – support and encourage vulnerable young children to prosper
  • Helping create safer lives – reduce exploitation, violence or abuse

As long as the organisation nominated fits one of these themes there are no restrictions on what the award can be used towards. It may be for general costs, purchasing equipment or to support a community project.

B P Collins has had a charitable fund with the Heart of Bucks since 2015, but this is the first time it is opening up the fund to nominations to empower local organisations and charities to have a chance to secure financial aid.

In the past B P Collins has helped with the development of a state of the art children’s playground in Chesham and donated to a Women’s Aid centre in Wycombe – causes which don’t grab the headlines but make such a vital and – at times – a life-saving contribution to the local community. Our law firm is passionate about helping those in need in Bucks and the nominations system is tangible way of doing that.

The winners not only receive a financial award but may also have the opportunity to access volunteers or specialist legal advice and support from B P Collins.

For more information and to nominate, please visit the Heart of Bucks website. The closing date for nominations was the 31st October 2016.

We will update with the winning organisations and charities shortly.
