Having completed her training contract at B P Collins, Amy qualified as a solicitor in the employment and business immigration team in March 2019. The cross-practice group experience Amy gained during her training has given her the ability to see the bigger picture and the opportunity to experience a wide variety of work for both commercial and individual clients. Amy advises employees and employers on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
Her experience includes assisting with HR enquiries such as grievance and disciplinary issues and sickness absence; dealing with employee exits; presenting on the subject of equality and diversity at client workshops; advising on the employment aspects of mergers or acquisitions of businesses; and drafting employment contracts and policy documents, such as company handbooks. Amy has also assisted clients with the preparation for and running of employment tribunal claims relating to unfair dismissal, whistleblowing and discrimination, and assisted senior associate Hannah King and partner Chris Brazier, in securing a High Court interim injunction in relation to an employee-shareholder dispute for a client in the technology industry.
Amy lives in South London and enjoys sports, travelling and skiing. Amy likes to keep fit and she has previously competed in Tough Mudder to raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer Action with a team of colleagues.
