Our Graduate Apprenticeships will give you the opportunity to gain work experience whilst studying to qualify as a solicitor.
Graduate solicitor apprenticeship
Our graduate solicitor apprenticeship is for law graduates who want to combine studying for their SQE whilst working as Trainee.
The programme runs for 2 years during which you will rotate between up to four different seats. Each week you will spend four days working as a Trainee in one of our practice groups and one day studying with the University of Law.
You will be assigned a mentor to support you throughout your programme, acting as a point of contact from induction to qualification. You will also receive support with your studies from our course provider, University of Law.
Who we are looking for
Qualifications:
We require applicants to have either completed or be studying towards a law degree or a law conversion qualification (PGDL) when they apply.
Experience:
Apprentices must have at least one year’s experience as a paralegal before they start the programme. This experience helps them to become fully immersed into the role straight away. Often our apprentices will have gained this experience at our firm. (for more information about paralegal opportunities see HERE)
Skills and other attributes:
- Teamwork – able to collaborate with colleagues and clients effectively to achieve shared goals
- Communication – able to convey messages clearly and respectfully to various audiences with varying degrees of understanding
- Analysis – able gather, evaluate and interpret information to solve problems and make decisions
- Self-motivation – having the drive to achieve, using initiative and resilience when faced with setbacks

Successful candidates will be invited to attend an initial screening interview with a member of the HR team and to complete a number of assessments.
The final stage of the process will be an assessment day at our office in Gerrards Cross during which shortlisted candidates will take part in a scenario exercise, deliver a short presentation on a non-law related subject, and attend an interview with two of the partners.
