Lawyers in the firm’s corporate and commercial department recently advised a global business in respect of a new product and a proposed marketing campaign focusing on the carbon footprint reduction when compared to a previous version of the product.
The team prepared a report for the client analysing the relevant rules in respect of the claim and provided recommendations as to how advertising could be phrased in a way that was less likely to fall foul of the rules.
