Jemimah has developed a niche specialism in domestic and international surrogacy and fertility law. Jemimah is a champion of those creating their families through non-traditional methods and also advises clients on donor conception and co-parenting arrangements.
Jemimah regularly advises clients in relation to divorce and financial matters upon the breakdown of a relationship. Jemimah has also advised clients in contested schedule 1 proceedings involving unmarried parents and has developed a broad practice working on cases involving intervenors and international family law issues.
Jemimah has a particular interest in children matters and her growing areas of expertise include complex children act proceedings involving vulnerable children and adults and cases with significant third party involvement.
Jemimah speaks fluent French and is a lover of all things French having lived and studied in France as well as visiting regularly to ski or see her family on the south coast. Jemimah is also a qualified yoga instructor.
Jemimah completed her training contract with B P Collins LLP before qualifying into the family practice group in August 2012. She then worked at a well-known boutique family law firm in London, specialising in surrogacy and fertility law, for 3 years before returning to the family practice group in August 2019.
Prior to completing her legal studies, Jemimah developed her excellent organisational skills working for a boutique corporate marketing company which saw her travel all over Europe to manage high end corporate events.
Jemimah studied Law and French Law at the University of Exeter. She then spent one year studying at the Université de Rennes I, France for the Maîtrise en Droit (French Law Masters) obtaining a Distinction. Jemimah then completed her LPC at the College of Law, Bloomsbury, also obtaining a Distinction.
