Matthew Crockford trained at B P Collins LLP and joined the residential property practice group upon his qualification as a solicitor in January 2014 and practised there until late 2017. Matthew then spent some time working in the city at a Top 100 firm before returning to B P Collins LLP as an associate in January 2019 to coincide with the birth of his first daughter.
Matthew focuses on residential freehold and leasehold transactions, including acting for clients purchasing properties within new residential developments, lease renewals for both tenants and landlords by agreement and via the statutory route, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, option agreements and, occasionally, deeds of easement and other associated property matters.
In his spare time Matthew enjoys keeping fit and regularly cycles and plays football. He is a keen Tottenham Hotspur FC fan and visits White Hart Lane whenever possible. Matthew also enjoys cooking, film and music.
Matthew initially trained as a quantity surveyor with a London based dry lining sub-contractor, regularly overseeing and delivering £2.5m+ package works at developments across London and the south east, before returning to university to read law.
Matthew graduated in 2010 from the Norwich Law School at the University of East Anglia with an upper second class (2:1) LLB in Law, before moving on to the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice to study the LPC, achieving a distinction.
