With a legal career spanning over two decades senior associate Kathryn Fielder has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience on contentious and non-contentious matters.
Acting for both employees and employers her particular focus is on maternity and parental rights, employee exits and discrimination. Kathryn has also led teams in negotiating settlement agreements for multiple employees with total values of several million pounds against blue chip company employers and has recently begun advising companies in connection with business immigration matters.
Kathryn utilises her extensive experience to advice and represent clients' on internal compliance matters, in connection with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and other medical professional bodies. She recently concluded a professional compliance matter which had been running for over four years and successfully persuaded the relevant body to dismiss all the conditions of practice which had up to then been imposed on her client.
Her clients praise her efficiency, stating that "Kathryn dealt with my case in the utmost professional manner" but also benefit from her compassionate approach: "I know I would not have continued to pursue my case had it not been for her constant advice and support during this very difficult time."
Kathryn is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
Away from the office Kathryn is a dedicated mum of two.
Having advised clients as part of the firms' litigation and dispute resolution practice group for over ten years, in 1999 Kathryn became a dedicated employment lawyer for the firm.
Kathryn is a graduate from the University of Southampton and joined B P Collins LLP in 1988 soon after qualifying as a solicitor.
